Cannot conn6 the person whistle

I’m thinking Moonlight/firefly mode might work for night fishing? Most people go with a red light but I’m gonna have to try this mode next time

That green preserving nightvision is false, its a misconception because most greenlights are weak so they didnt effect you as much but a white light with the same lumens and candela and lux outputs would do the same. Quick lesson: your retina is made of 2 types of sensors we call them rods and cones. Rods are what we use to see brightness, its what we use to see in darker scenarios as they pick up the low levels of light too. While cones are what our eyes use to pick up the primal colors red, green, and blue. These are the prime colors of light. If you learned prime colours as cyan, magenta, and yellow, or the incorect blue red, yellow, this is due to subtractive coloring. Since color is light at certain wavelenths. And all colors are made up of reg, green and blue, so mixing them creates more colors. But matter that reflects light is actually obsorbing all the colors and rejecting a select group of colours. That means when you mix two materials that obsorb say one is blue and green, and the other absorbs red and blue, you get black because its officially obaorbing all the colors now. So colors of physical objects like paint work backward. With the secondary colors are prime colors and prime colors as secondary because you are subtracting the colors untill you get black, where with light your adding colors till you get white. But due to this many people saw cyan as just blue, and magenta as just red, yet obviously yellow isnt a shade of green or red, so the false statement of red blue yellow, came to be. Cyan is an equal mix of blue and green, and magenta is an equal mix of blue and red, just like yellow is an equal mix of red and green. If you dont like it take it up with modern science, there has already been a strainious amount of research into this. Now you ask, what has this got to do with our natural night vision ability? Well you see, your cones see color but they need a bright setting to see, they dont function well in dim lighting. And they are most sensitive to green or 555nm wavelength. Also some people call this green yellow as the eye is sensitive to green and slightly yellow too. But this is false green is 500nm-570nm and yellow starts at 570nm 555nm is smack down in the center od what is green and is the same coloe as some grass and green vegetation. This is also why many favor green laser pointers as they are easier to spot in person as the cones are more sensitive to this color. Now the rods of your retina dont see color, they just respond to the intensity of the light, but interestingly enough they dont respond very well to red wavelength. So because of this you can usually shine a dim red light, giving the cones of your eyes something to respond too without effecting the rods of you eyes. Hence you keeping your night vision of your eyes since the pupils respond to the rods, and dont have any input to close as they dont detect the red light, while your cones see the red light and give you more perspective at whats there. But if the battery dies or something approaches, you can shutoff the light and your rods which were what you where relying on see no real difference and you should be able to see as much as you did before using the red light.

For regular home and work flashlights I prefer the rechargeable ones. But for going on a trip, camping, SHTF situations, etc standard replaceable battery form factor, such as AA, AAA, etc, is more important to me. You can still get them in a rechargeable option too, but if I have access to electricity to charge them then I probably don't need them for those kinds of situations to begin with, with an exception, maybe, if you recharge them off a solar power or a bigger battery bank of sorts.
